Walking Through Emotions

A painting series from intensity to peace

While I was taking my creative break during the first weeks after arriving in Siena, I slowly started to adapt to my new environment.

The weeks before were intense—moving, organizing, traveling—and I could feel the stress sitting in my body. I needed that time to recover, but also to refocus on what I want to create next and to gather new ideas and inspiration.

During that time I met so many lovely people, especially during Milano Art Week (April 17–19). Even though it was a short visit, it gave me exactly what I needed—the right amount of inspiration, encounters, and connection.

Not long after settling in, I started my new painting series.

Why This Series Exists

This series didn’t begin with a fixed plan. It appeared as I started creating and as I began interacting with you more openly on social media.

I create from a place that feels deeply connected to God, something beyond myself, and I follow that rather than trying to control or force anything myself.

This series is meant to wake you up.

On Expression

I go on social media and I expose myself.

This used to be something I was scared of—not only because of what other people might think, but also because of what it could reveal to me about myself.

Am I capable of anger? What would that do to me, or even to other people?

What I’m sharing is not just about showing emotions, but about accessing parts of myself that I have already lived through and allowing them to resurface to be expressed.

Because if we don’t express ourselves, our body stores it.

Especially the emotions that are not socially accepted. They build up over time and create a disconnection from ourselves and from the divine.

I see this a lot, and I want to draw awareness to it. To make a change, I start with myself.

Anger

Anger pushed me to start this painting series.

It is the most intense emotion for me and also the hardest to access. It’s something I have suppressed for most of my life, and I believe many women can relate to that.

But now that I allow myself to feel it, I experience a kind of relief.

For a long time my body felt tense—my shoulders, my jaw, my chest, my throat. It felt like I was holding everything in, trapped inside myself.

Allowing anger to move through me changes that.

It’s not about harming or blaming others, but about releasing and healing for my own sake.

Creating With You

I share this process mainly on Instagram, and also on TikTok and YouTube.

What I didn’t expect is how much your reactions would become part of the work. Through your comments, I receive very direct and unfiltered responses, but also ideas.

At one point I asked what was missing for a painting to feel like anger, and adding an element in the center actually came from that exchange.

I really enjoy this kind of interaction and that you get to be part of the process.

What Comes After

With that release also comes confusion, exhaustion, and overwhelm.

This is something I am currently exploring in my next painting, which I call Collapse.

It’s a state where you start to lose control, where you question your identity and the world around you. I want to show what that feels like as well.

Where This Comes From

To suffer is part of our human experience here on earth—there is no way around it, only a way through.

Everything I’m showing you is something I have already felt before.

I know what deep hurt and betrayal feel like, and even writing this doesn’t leave me unaffected.

I’ve lived through a lot internally—things that are not visible from the outside. I’ve fought many battles within myself, and I’ve made it through them.

That couldn’t have happened without God.

Looking back, I see that I was never alone. I was guided, protected, and brought to a place where I can now share this with you.

A Clarification

I want to mention that I am in a stable place now.

I have moved past these states, and I can access them safely for my work and for storytelling online. There is always a part of realness in what I show, because I know exactly how these emotions feel.

At times I am acting, but not in a way that is disconnected from truth. I allow myself to step back into these emotional states so I can express them honestly.

I also don’t want to be too obvious about the act, but I care about you enough not to leave it without context, as it might be confusing.

Right Now

At the moment, I feel quite exhausted.

Working through anger in such an intense way for days has affected me physically, but I continue to channel it into my paintings while staying grounded in God.

Thank You

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for being part of my journey.

I know that most of us carry things we don’t always show, and maybe something in this resonated with you in your own way.

If it did, you’re not alone in it.

If you want to follow along and be part of what unfolds:
